North Carolina Tar Heels fans had a day to forget Saturday. They not only watched their team suffer its worst home loss ever under Roy Williams, but they also were forced to see the Duke Blue Devils.

As the Tar Heels were getting blown out, ESPN decided to cut away from the broadcast early. Want to guess which broadcast was prioritized over the end of the UNC game? You already know it was Duke.

Given the heated rivalry between those teams, that swap didn’t go over too well.

Keep in mind, those are some of the clean responses we could find. There are plenty of other tweets out there that are not suitable to post.

For those UNC fans who happened to miss the end of the game, the Tar Heels went on to lose 82-63 to the Louisville Cardinals. After the game, Williams made it clear he wasn’t happy with the way his team played in the loss.

After such a deflating sequence of events, the only thing that can salvage the day for UNC fans would be a Duke loss. They might actually get their wish. Duke trails the Florida State Seminoles at halftime 39-38.
